Cambridge Exhibition Saturday 11th September 2021 *Virtual*

The club has continued to monitor the Coronavirus situation with regard to a 2021 Exhibition (proposed September 11th). To organise and plan an exhibition we need to start about six months in advance. This means we have to come to a decision in March.

We have thought long and hard about this and have eventually concluded that we should not have a physical exhibition in 2021, and should postpone it to 2022.

While it seems possible in theory to hold an exhibition in September (based on proposed relaxing of restrictions) there are a whole series of things which have to fall in place beforehand, any one of which could not go to plan and cause restrictions to be extended, or make the exhibition impossible in other ways.

Questions exist about almost every aspect of the exhibition, although we may have answers to some of these over the coming months. The group which organises the exhibition concluded, very reluctantly, that there were just too many unknowns to allow us to proceed in 2021.

As stated previously, we are committed to continue running a Model Railway Exhibition in the Cambridge area. We intend to hold an exhibition in 2022, envisaged to be on Saturday 10th September 2022 in Comberton Village College.

In September 2021 we will create a second Virtual Exhibition, following on from the 2020 event. We all hope that by 2022 we can return to a physical event. We will post further deteails here once they are available.

We hope you will be able to join us for future exhibitions, virtually in 2021, or physically in 2022 and beyond.
